Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What documents do I need to apply?

You'll need proof of Washington residency, and proof of income for the income-qualified vouchers. Full details are on the WSDOT website.

Can I use the rebate on any e-bike?

Rebates are valid on approved e-bikes from participating shops — like Bike Swift! We carry several eligible models, ranging in price from $1,199 - $1,899.

Can I use the rebate on an e-bike conversion?

No, only complete, turn-key e-bikes are eligible.

What if I don’t qualify for the rebate? What if I don't get the rebate?

We still offer affordable e-bike options! Reach out — we’d love to help.

How many rebates are available?

The program administrators didn't give an exact number. However, over $4 million is available directly for rebates, and 60% of the funds are dedicated to income-qualified rebates. That equates to about 2,000 of the $1,200 income-qualified rebates, and 5,600 of the $300 standard rebates. Since the program is open to all 3 million WA households, it's likely that most applicants won't receive a rebate. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't try!

Is there a deadline?

Yes! The application deadline is April 23, 2025. Make sure you get your info in before then. There is a random selection from the pool of applicants once the application deadline closes.
